Skin protectors

I like stamping a lot and I always check out Instagram or Youtube to get inspiration. Recently, I realise that a lot of Nail Artists use a product to protect their skin when they stamp or water marble. It seems very useful since you don’t have to use acetone to remove the excess polish, so I kept this product in mind while shopping.

One day I saw a video where the nail artist was using this Color Stop fluid from P2 and I was happy because this brand exist in Germany. I went to the closest DM from N-I to buy it.

I had really high expectation about it, however, when I used it I was a bit disappointed.

When I opened the little bottle I felt the smell of glue right away and it made me think of my elementary school days. Then I checked out the brush and it is too thin (maybe good for detailed manicures). Next, the color is plain white and when it dries it becomes transparent, for this reason it was dificult for me to find a trace from where I could remove it.

I applied it on the skin around my nails (of course, that is what it is for) and waited. It dries fast, but I had to apply more than one coat because the formula is also very thin. As this is a liquid formula, it is very detailed, I mean, if you put some over your nail or in an undesirable area you have to remove it immediatly, because if you stamp or polish over it, when you take it off, it will also take your design or polish away.

Well, I think that for the price (I believe I paid less than 2 euros) it is an OK product. It does what it is supposed to, but I will change it for a thicker formula and a wider brush.

If you want to give it a chance, this product is available at DM stores (Germany).
